Freemasonry & all Faiths
Grand Chaplain Simon Thorn on How Freemasonry Unites People of All Faiths – A Conversation with Brethren of Jewish, Islamic, Christian, and Hindu Beliefs. Meet Grand Chaplain The Reverend Dr Simon Thorn, who will be discussing how Freemasonry creates an inclusive space for people of all religions to come together. He’ll be engaging in conversations with Brethren of Jewish, Islamic, Christian, and Hindu beliefs, exploring how Freemasonry unites them across different faiths. Join us and our special guests The Reverend Dr Simon Thorn, Rabbi Zvi Solomons, Kumar Acharya, Navtej Jasal, Ghanem Nuseibeh to find out about their experience within Freemasonry. They will share personal stories of unity and fellowship, showing how Freemasonry brings together individuals from diverse religious backgrounds. Membership is open to any man over the age of 18 irrespective of their race or religion. When becoming a Freemason, members are expected to be able to affirm a belief in a ‘Supreme Being’. This is deliberately phrased so as to be fully inclusive and we celebrate the diverse nature of the beliefs of our members. There is no requirement to be an active practitioner of any particular religion.
